The South East region of the English Volleyball Association covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Sussex, so a pretty large region. Of those, Berkshire, Kent, Surrey and Sussex run county associations and leagues. In Bucks, there is a small league; Hampshire has no county association but supports two leagues, one in Southampton and one in Portsmouth; Oxfordshire has no league or association but has clubs who play in Berkshire and National leagues.
Purpose Our aims in SEVA are simple - • promote volleyball in the South East • act as the governing body of the EVA, managing the region in a way that supports the aims of the EVA • represent the South East nationally with the EVA, Sport England and other organisations • help anyone in the South East to play volleyball • support clubs through the county associations • support junior development through the county associations • provide tournaments for clubs and players in the South East

The mission for volleyball is to develop • a thriving network of expanding clubs that provide enjoyment and access, irrespective of age or ability • a network of strategic partnerships to deliver a quality volleyball experience • an integrated programme of competition at all levels and their promotion • an extensive programme of volunteer recruitment, training and retention
The values of the EVA are described as • co-operation, inclusion, equitability and professionalism with values for activity that are expressed as • excitement, teamwork, co-operation, sociability, fun and health
Committee The Executive Committee of SEVA is made up of - • Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Disability Officer, Junior Development Officer in addition we have co-opted members on the Committee - • County representatives from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Kent, Surrey and Sussex • Refereeing Co-Ordinator, Coaching Co-Ordinator, Marketing & Events Co-Ordinator, Tournament Organiser, NVL Liaison Officer
Whole Sport Plan The EVA has published its Whole Sport Plan 2005-2009 and SEVA is looking to support this plan through - • supporting clubs and encouraging them to apply for ClubMark • liaising with County Sports Partnership staff locally in our counties • running at least one annual tournament • supporting the junior development programme to represent SEVA in the regional tournaments • maintaining a lively and informational website as a forum for volleyball players in our region • using the website to promote events, tournaments, our local NVL teams, leagues and initiatives • trying to stimulate and encourage more volunteer involvement in the South East
